Nefesh

Engaging the Nefesh voice.

The Nefesh voice expresses itself through our physical being. This physical engagement with the material is also a learning process. Creating something tangible actualizes what has been previously only internal – in the heart and the mind.

How is this achieved?

• Experiential Workshops: The students express their connection to the material through writing, drawing, and other arts.

• Supportive environment: People are often self-conscious about their creative abilities. This is not about performing or showing talent. Everyone is supportive. There should be no competition or comparing.

• Sharing: People are encouraged to share with the group what they created and why. This verbal expression deepens the personal connection with the subject.
