Sample 1st Session

The first session of each module is called by the same name of our whole project – ”Ayeka?” “Where are you?” The session focuses on the first story in the Torah, of Adam’s hiding from God behind the tree in the Garden of Eden. This is an eternal human paradigm of hiding - that each person replicates at different stages in his or her life. Before we can actually take new steps in our lives, we need to reflect on what may be holding us back, what we may be hiding behind, and how we can reinforce our desire to move ahead.

Like all of Ayeka‘s programs, this is an easy session to facilitate. We suggest that you gather a small group of friends (6 – 12) and try it out in someone’s living room. It’s about 90 minutes long.

The first session directs the question of ”Ayeka” from God to human beings. Future sessions will reverse this question and direct it from human beings to God – “Where are You”?
